Mission:
The mission of the Upper Room COGIC dance ministry is to usher in the Holy Spirit through dance, to be active in the local community and to empower the mind, body, and spirit through dance and mime presentations.
Goal:
To redefine the norm, and introduce a “new” dance.
Who we are:
We are youth at Upper Room COGIC, who love to go before the Lord in praise, by way of dance, dramatic interpretation and mime presentation. Those who make their request known to either the coordinators or the pastors can be a part of the dance ministry, it is volunteer based. The dance groups are not limited to Upper Room Partners. It is our goal to redefine “dance” and show the community that it is possible to dance, have fun, and serve the Lord all at the same time.
While participating in the dance ministry, it is required that one:
- Respects the house of the Lord
- Respects each other
- Be attentive during rehearsal
- Notifies coordinators of an expected/unexpected absence
- Dresses appropriately
