Our Purpose
God’s heart is tender toward widows and widowers.
He calls His children to extend that same love and compassion.
The Widows Wings Ministry of Upper Room Ministries was founded by Pastor Karl Anderson in obedience to this divine call — to bring comfort, connection, and community to those who have lost a spouse.
What We Do
Our ministry provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support through:
- Guardian Angels: Each widow or widower is paired with a caring volunteer who offers encouragement, prayer, and help with practical needs.
- Love Nests Luncheons: Every other month, we host fellowship luncheons designed to uplift, connect, and inspire. These gatherings include delicious meals, heartfelt conversation, and valuable community resources on health, finances, and wellness.
- Transportation Assistance: Need a ride to attend? Just call us — we’ll make sure you can be there.
Who Can Join?
Anyone who has experienced the loss of a spouse — no matter how long ago — is welcome to be part of the Widows Wings family.
